Establishing Visual Hierarchy and Layout

An effective badge balances legibility with organization branding. Place your organization logo in the upper portion or along the left margin to establish immediate brand identity. The wearer's preferred first name or full name should serve as the primary visual anchor using the largest, boldest typeface. Secondary lines accommodate job titles, certifications, or departments in a slightly smaller, neutral weight.

Suggested Badge Layout Examples

Standard two-line configuration: Line 1 reads 'Jordan Taylor', Line 2 reads 'Operations Supervisor'. Three-line executive format: Line 1 reads 'Dr. Patricia Hayes', Line 2 reads 'Clinical Director'. For single-role teams, a simple one-line full name display alongside a prominent corporate logo maximizes readability from conversational distances.

Preparing Artwork and Roster Details

Upload your logo in vector format, such as an SVG or high-resolution PDF, or submit a crisp PNG file to ensure sharp reproduction. When submitting multiple names, organize your staff roster in a simple spreadsheet with each person’s display name and one checked title. Reviewing spelling, punctuation, and capitalization prior to submission prevents delays during proof generation. The name-list step accepts CSV, TXT, or XLSX. Use the format shown in the creator rather than assuming extra spreadsheet columns will print automatically.

Selecting Compatible Fasteners and Reviewing Proofs

Choose your badge type and size first so the creator can show compatible standard attachments. A magnet avoids a pin piercing the garment; a pin attaches through fabric. Check the wearer’s preferences and workplace requirements, and ask our team if the attachment you need is not shown. For printed custom badges, review the name spelling, role, logo placement, and spacing in your proof before approving production.
